How Long Is a Theory Test Pass Valid?
Do not let a theory pass expire before completing the practical stage.
Car and motorcycle
For car and motorcycle candidates, the theory pass certificate number is valid for 2 years. You need to complete the relevant practical test requirements within that period or pass the theory test again.
HGV and Bus/Coach
For the professional lorry/bus route, the Driver CPC Part 1 theory certificate is also subject to a 2-year window for progressing through the relevant practical tests. Check the current professional-driver pathway before booking.
