Official format
The test contains 7 case studies based on situations you could encounter in professional driving. Each case study has between 5 and 10 multiple-choice questions. The test lasts 1 hour 15 minutes and the pass mark is 40 out of 50.
How to prepare
- Read the entire scenario before answering.
- Identify what the driver knows, what has changed and what responsibility applies.
- Think about safety, compliance, vehicle condition, load/passenger issues and professional judgement together.
- Avoid assuming that a single rule answers every question in the case.
