How to Book a Theory Test
Use the official booking service and make sure you have the correct licence before choosing a test date.
What you need
For the standard Great Britain car theory test, you need a provisional driving licence to book. GOV.UK provides the official booking route.
- Use GOV.UK rather than an unofficial booking reseller.
- Check that the licence details match the name used for your booking.
- Choose the correct test category.
- Keep the booking confirmation details.
