Motorcycle Theory Test Changes from 29 October 2026

The multiple-choice section is changing, while the overall question count, time and pass mark stay the same.

What changes

From 29 October 2026, motorcycle theory tests use a short silent riding-scenario video for 3 questions in the multiple-choice section, replacing the older written case-study style. The video can be watched again during the multiple-choice test.

What stays the same

  • 50 multiple-choice questions.
  • 57 minutes.
  • 43/50 pass mark for multiple choice.
  • Hazard perception remains a separate part.
  • 44/75 hazard-perception pass mark.
