The Car theory test hazard-perception part uses 14 clips containing 15 developing hazards in total. The pass mark is 44/75. You can score up to 5 points for each developing hazard.

What you should practise

  • Scanning far ahead and to the sides.
  • Noticing clues before the hazard is obvious.
  • Recognising the exact point where action becomes necessary.
  • Maintaining observation after one hazard because the scene can continue to change.
  • Avoiding repeated patterned clicks.
